New Vacancy: Fundraising Executive

Fundraising Executive

Salary up to £28k per annum.

Kids’ Village is looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and pro-active individual to join the charity as our first ever Fundraising Executive. This new role will work alongside the charity’s CEO as one of two full time positions. You will also work closely with the charity’s founders, Chairman and Trustees as we continue our capital fundraising campaign to raise £5m to build Kids’ Village, the UK’s first holiday village exclusively for critically ill children and their families. This is a truly exciting time to be joining the charity and there is a genuine opportunity for the right candidate to shape and grow the role.

Scope of Role

To plan and deliver fundraising activities for Kids’ Village and to be the first point of contact for all inbound enquiries to Kids’ Village. To represent Kids’ Village at internal and external events and meetings, and communicate regularly with regular donors, supporters, and corporate partners via activation and engagement activity.

As a small charity with big ambitions, this is a hands-on fundraising role with additional responsibility for general administration and supporting the CEO on a variety of tasks.

Candidate Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a ‘hands-on’ income-generating role either in a sales, marketing or fundraising team with experience in developing and delivering income-generating activity
  • Interest and passion in the Kids’ Village cause and our values
  • Team player and at ease in a small team regularly communicating with each other and our stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high accuracy, and ability to persuasively tell the story of Kids’ Village and build relationships
  • Excellent initiative and ability to pro-actively spot opportunities and own ideas and activities which will contribute to our mission
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and social media channels.
  • Experience in using a CRM system for data entry and managing contacts and tracking activity (essential) and experience in using an email service provider such as Mailchimp for email marketing purposes (desirable)

Working arrangements

This is an on-site role. Our current office is the Business Hub at Lichfield District House, and we expect to move to an office at the Kids’ Village site in Wychnor, Staffordshire in Autumn 2024.

The role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with some evening and weekend hours (with advance notice) for events with time off in lieu for out of hours work.

Occasional home working will be permitted but the nature of the role will require this to be a largely office and regionally based role attending events and meetings across the West Midlands.

How to apply?

Please send your CV and a cover letter to Kids’ Village CEO at katrina@kidsvillage.org.uk by 5pm Friday 9th August. Interviews will be scheduled for 21st and 22nd August.
