Kids’ Village Event at the House Of Lords

This week saw Kids’ Village hold its first introductory event outside of the West Midlands region and welcomed over 40 guests to a reception in the River Room at the House of Lords, London.

The reception was kindly hosted by Lord Austin of Dudley who welcomed guests including Al Carns OBE MC MP and Saqib Bhatti MBE MP and introduced Kids’ Village as a national charity based in the West Midlands which, once built, will support critically ill children and their families from across the UK.

Guests heard from Kids’ Village Co-Founder Sam Fletcher-Goodwin about the inspirational story behind Kids’ Village and progress to date, including the donation of a 30 acre piece of land, and planning permission which was secured in 2023 to build 10 lodges, a central facility and will be able to accommodate over 4000 guests per year.

Commenting on the event success, Katrina Cooke said,

It was a privilege for Kids’ Village to have the opportunity to hold an event at the House of Lords and provide an update on Kids’ Village plans and progress this year. Thank you to our Trustee Paul Faulkner for arranging the event, to all guests who attended and of course to Lord Austin of Dudley for so graciously hosting us.
