Kids’ Village Raises £8,000 at the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce Awards

Kids’ Village is thrilled to announce that a phenomenal £8,000 was raised at the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) Awards held on 30th November 2024. The prestigious event marked the 37th anniversary of the ABCC and brought together hundreds of local business leaders to celebrate the successes of local businesses.

The evening, at the ICC in Birmingham was hosted by renowned actor Nitin Ganatra, who kept the crowd entertained and energized throughout the night. There were a number of acts performing for the crowd, too. Attendees generously supported Kids’ Village through a series of fundraising activities that showcased the spirit of giving in the business community.

A highlight of the evening was the auction of three signed cricket bats, which raised an incredible £4,300. In addition, a raffle brought in £3,400, offering exciting prizes that captured the enthusiasm of the attendees. The raffle was supported by a team of students from Bmet College, who generously volunteered their time to help fundraise. A silent auction also ran alongside the event, contributing further to the overall total.

Katrina Cooke Said:

We are deeply grateful to the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce and everyone who attended the awards for their unwavering support, The funds raised will make a significant difference in helping us on our mission to build the first holiday village for critically ill children in the uk.

The funds will go directly toward supporting the charity’s capital campaign, raising the £5M it will take to build the village.
