As we continue our capital fundraising campaign to raise £5m to build Kids’ Village, and with a number of fundraising events lined up for the Autumn, we are now looking to recruit a number of volunteers to join the Kids’ Village fundraising team and support our efforts.
As we are currently at the capital fundraising stage of our charity’s journey to build Kids’ Village, we are specifically looking for volunteers who may be able to support with;
- Representing Kids’ Village at corporate events such as awards dinners, charity fundraisers or daytime networking events where Kids’ Village has been selected as a chosen charity partner. Typical tasks may include selling raffle tickets, collecting charitable donations, hosting an exhibition stand, chatting to guests about Kids’ Village and so on. These events will typically be Monday-Friday and often in the evening, although this is variable.
- Representing Kids’ Village at community events such as village fetes, challenger fundraising events such as park runs, charity walks or other local events. Typical tasks may include hosting an exhibition stand indoors or outdoors, chatting to event attendees about Kids’ Village and collecting data and donations from attendees. These events will typically be at the weekend.
- You would be representing Kids’ Village as part of a small team with a Kids’ Village employee or Trustee also in attendance

The nature of the current volunteer roles require individuals who are comfortable and enthusiastic talking to event guests on a 1:1 basis and can use their initiative as well as following instructions when setting up event collateral and supporting at events.

As a small team, your time will be making a huge difference, and volunteers will sit at the heart of the journey to making Kids’ Village a reality.
How would it work?
There is no obligation to commit to a fixed amount of volunteer time but rather we are looking to create a volunteer group to reach out to and agree to attend events on a first come first served basis.
If you are interested in volunteering with Kids’ Village, please complete the application details below. Following this, you will be invited to a short screening call with Kids’ Village CEO Katrina Cooke, issued the volunteer paperwork and once complete then invited to a 30 minute video induction call and sent an information pack about Kids’ Village before starting your role with us.
You will then be sent regular volunteer opportunities.
All volunteers will be required to agree to our safeguarding and volunteer policies. Expenses will be reimbursed in line with our volunteer expenses policy.
