Kids Village will be UK’s first purpose-built holiday village just for children with critical illness and their families. We have carefully chosen a beautiful countryside location in Staffordshire, in the heart of the UK. The site will be small, intimate and full of magical surprises. We have planning permission to build 10 4-bedroom lodges & a central facility that we call “The Hive”.
Check back as we will share more information and images soon.
Kids Village will be on a beautiful site in the heart of the UK, just north of Lichfield in the hamlet of Wychnor.
Kids Village lodges are a place where children and their families can come together to relax, create memories and reconnect with each other and nature away from hospitals. Lodges will be nestled in the English countryside and boast inspirational views.
Staying at Kids Village is an escape from stressful medical environments. Lodges are designed with child-like imagination and understanding for families battling critical illness.
All lodges have 4 bedrooms so that the entire family can be supported, including the extended family/friends who inevitably help during difficult times.
The kids will have the ‘master bedroom’ (for once!). Included in the 4 bedrooms, we have a “magic room” for the child with a critical illness and a “thank you room” that families can gift to those who have supported them.
All lodges are very high quality and will make families feel special, despite the experience being free of charge.
The Hive is the central facility at Kids Village and will provide a hub that supports families throughout their stay. The Hive will be:
We promise to create ‘magic’ at Kids Village to make stays memorable and sought after. We will do this through special events and children’s dream discoveries which include:
All of these examples will be free to families and be hosted at The Hive.
Both our lodges and The Hive are being designed by top UK architect, Holder Mathias.
