BeeSweetOccasions, a beloved name in the Midlands wedding industry, has made a heartfelt donation of £500 to Kids’ Village, a local charity dedicated to creating the UK’s first holiday village for children with critical illnesses.
Deb and Lee Todd, owners of BeeSweetOccasions, discovered Kids’ Village while attending a community event at the National Forest Adventure Farm. Moved by the charity’s mission and with Lee’s own background in the charitable sector, the couple felt compelled to support the cause in a meaningful way.
They reached out to one of their wedding clients, Ryan & Emilie, who were planning their celebration at the National Forest Adventure Farm’s Barn over the summer. BeeSweetOccasions and the couple agreed to donate the full profits to Kids’ Village, turning their special day into a gift that will help bring joy to children facing serious health challenges.
Lee Todd said:
Deb & myself were invited to the Deer barns for a fundraiser . We knew nothing about the Kid’ Village but on seeing there promotional video we were both reduce to tears. We were so moved that we wanted to do something to help .
Amy Jacklin, Fundraising Executive at Kids’ Village said:
A massive thank you to everyone involved in this, from our partners National Forest Adventure Farm, Deb and Lee, and to the happy couple. Congratulations. We wouldn’t be able to build Kids’ Village without support like this and we’re delighted to work with such great local people and local businesses. Thank you.
Kids’ Village expressed deep gratitude for the donation, which will help fund their ongoing efforts to build a purpose-designed village for families navigating childhood illness.
